Today ten children from Class 10 joined me to write a blog post about their favourite book. They wrote extremely descriptive reviews using super sentences with lots of adjectives and adverbs. I enjoyed reading their reviews and hope you do too!
Hi, we are two children from class 10. Our names are Aisha and Aamina. We are both nine years old. The book we have chosen, as our favourite is… FIREWORK MAKERS DAUGHTER.
The reason we have picked this book, is because of we have read it in class as a group. My [Aamina ‘s] favourite part was of how the author had described the different fireworks. It gave me a picture in my mind of what was happening. My [Aisha ‘s] opinion of the book is that it was imaginative and creative. My most enjoyable moment of the story was when Lila went on an adventure to become a firework maker. We really enjoyed this fantastic book because she started as a little girl playing with sparks. Now she is a firework maker. We recommend this book for any age. If you ever read this book enjoy it. Thank you very much for reading our blog.

Journey to Jo’burg
Hi I am Luka and I’m Sitarama. I read this book and it’s my favourite book I have ever read. I read this book and really liked it . It is a children’s book but it has a very sad ending. The main character’s are Tiro , Naledi ,Dineo and Mma. I recommend this book because it has got a lot of comprehension questions to answer in the book. It’s quite short but very interesting and when our teacher called Mr Chesters reads it it’s very tense. We like when Mr C reads the book because it makes us think of questions to ask the characters. The reason why we like this book because is it is a real story. THANK YOU for reading our book review.
From Sitarama and Luka.
Hi, this is William and Abeeha . We are both nine years old. The favourite book we have read in class 10 is …‘. The firework makers daughter. The reason we like this book is because this makes the reader imagine the picture in their head as they read this wonderful book. Our best part of the book is when Lalchand [ the firework maker] makes the fireworks. We also like how the author has written adjectives that make you imagine it in your in your head.
William’s favourite bit of the novel is when Lila becomes a firework maker. This book is fantastically good to read because any body will enjoy this book. We would rate this book 10 out of 10. Lila’s dream was to be a firework maker like her dad, Lalchand,.
The reason we picked this book is we really liked where and how the story was set. We recommend everybody to read this book. The personification was used very carefully so we could know ever one’s or every body’s feeling and emotion.
