In Year 4, the children’s learning journey continues through the themes of the Egyptians, Rivers and Mountains and the Roman Legacy which link to all areas of the curriculum. Children continue to develop both their collaborative and independent learning skills through a range of creative, interactive learning experiences.
Literacy is made fun and exciting through drama, role-play and a range of quality texts which are relevant and interesting to the children with their writing having a real purpose. Maths skills continue to develop and they gain further understanding of the number system through negative numbers and decimals.
Their knowledge of science is enhanced through practical investigations about classification and food chains, the human digestive system, changes in state, sound and electricity.
