This week sees the final blog posts from my lovely sports bloggers. There have been some exciting happenings in the last couple of weeks. I’ll let Ibraheemm, Katie and Zaiyaan tell you more!
Mr Noblet football training with year 5
Last week, Mr Noblet taught our class football skills. He taught dribbling and we had to dribble around the cones and change directions. Mr Noblet clearly explained to be slow and keep the ball near your foot and twist your foot to dribble. The importance to dribbling is to keep control of the ball and try be the expert at football. Then, we played matches, boys vs boys and girls vs girls, twice.
I enjoyed this lesson with Mr Noblet, he is a really good football trainer I was pleased with my lesson I was a really good defender and midfielder and I was really good.

Our boy’s football team played another league match last week against Brockholes Wood and won the match 6-2. The boys have now played 3 games and won all 3 matches. Well done guys and a huge good luck for your next matches.
Unfortunately, all girls’ matches have been cancelled so far because the fields have been to wet. Luckily, this Thursday, the 26th October, we shall be able to play because it is on Astro turf.
The Fun run was held on the 16th of October. It was held on the field and we had about 50 people entered. The fun run is open to years 4, 5, 6. It is a good way to see who we have for triathlon and cross country. I participated in this event and finished joint first with Anna in the girl’s race. The race is three laps around the school field and we had the kind after school club cheering us on.
That is all for the sports news this week and I hope you enjoyed my blog.
Thank you for reading,
On Friday the 13th of October the year 5 and 6 participated in a hockey tournament held at Broughton high school. A total of 25 other schools were in the competition and year 6 came 3rd overall, after losing against overall winners St Andrews. St Andrews had club players and one was going for England trials. We were defeated 4-0 and we went on to win the 3 and and 4 play offs to come 3rd .
The year 5 team played tough games against year 6 teams . They needed to win against Sherwood to get any chance of going through but lost 1-0 so we came 3 rd in the group and couldn’t reach the knockout stage . We only lost 1 game and drew 2 against all year sixes.
I enjoyed it very well and it was very fun.
