Today has been very busy; I spent the morning in class, studying French. I was taught words and sentences about a day’s routine and then had a lot to learn about verbs.
This afternoon, Mrs.Snape and I took the dragon around the medieval city so we could begin to make our French resources for school.
We discovered that a temporary piece of art work has been created for the city and the locals DO NOT like it! For a short while, the castle walls will continue to look like this:
We didn’t like this either! What is it? Why would someone change the beautiful castle like this? THEN, while walking around the walls, we arrived at a different gateway and our opinions were changed completely, because from there, the castle looked like this:
Wow!! Yellow foil has been applied (although the locals keep pulling bits off) to create this amazing effect – but only from this one viewpoint on the medieval walls. It will soon be removed as it’s not a permanent piece of art and in the meantime, it’s creator, Felice Varini, will continue to divide the opinions of locals and tourists. What do you think?
