We had some very special visitors in Y5 this week…two philatelists! For those of you wondering, they’re stamp collectors and they were full of interesting information about the history of stamps. Our pupils found out why only British stamps don’t have the name of the country on them, who was on the first stamp and why some of them are worth so much money. In addition, we were able to begin our own stamp collection and learn how to present stamps without causing them damage. A huge thankyou to Bernard and Ian who were so kind and generous and gave their valuable time.
