For homework this week we would like the children to do eight arithmetic questions (these are in their Homework Book). The questions are a mixture of addition, subtraction and multiplication. Addition and subtraction can be worked out by using or drawing base ten apparatus, whilst multiplication needs to be worked out by drawing an array (a video for this is below).
The second part of the homework is to watch a video of hide and seek that was filmed in 1951 and compare this to hide and seek as it is played today. This can be done by copying the statement sentences provided into the correct place in the homework book; the children need to decide whether the statement applies to 1951, 2018 or both eras. The video can be watched below, or it can be accessed by using a smartphone to scan the QR code in your child’s book.
Please complete all of the work using a pencil and return the Homework Book to school before Wednesday 7th February.
Spellings this week are all words that end with ‘le’.
