On Tuesday, we visited South Lakes Safari Zoo as part of our theme and science work on adaptation. We had the opportunity to look at animals up close, including those from the Amazon which we have been studying this term as part of our South America topic. During the day, we were also lucky enough to feed the penguins and the giraffes too. The children were a credit to the school with their behaviour and had a fantastic time even though it was a little chilly! A big thank you to the Queen’s Drive staff who came and helped on the day and also to the zoo staff who made us feel most welcome.
