Year 5’s Exciting Adventures at Forest School!

This half term, our Year 5s have embraced the great outdoors during their Forest School sessions, and what an incredible time they’ve had! From building sturdy dens to lighting fires safely, they’ve developed fantastic teamwork and survival skills while deepening their appreciation for nature.

One of the highlights was roasting marshmallows over the fire—always a favourite! But it wasn’t just about fun; the children also learned about fire safety and how to care for the environment, ensuring they left no trace behind. Through hands-on experiences, they explored the natural world, discovering new wildlife and understanding the importance of looking after our planet.

The sessions have been a huge hit, with students loving the chance to learn outdoors in such a practical and exciting way. A big well done to Year 5 for their enthusiasm and brilliant teamwork!
