Operation Encompass

The purpose of Operation Encompass at Queen's Drive Primary School is to safeguard and support children who have been involved in a domestic abuse incident. Following an incident at home, children will often arrive at school distressed, upset and unprepared for the day.

Operation Encompass has been developed so that Key Adults in schools receive an ENCOMPASS report at the time of the incident from Lancashire Police. This knowledge, given through Operation Encompass, allows the provision of immediate early intervention as appropriate to the child.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs N Gomersall is the 'Key Adult' for Operation Encompass supported by the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, Mr M Aspinall, Mr J Lickley, Mr M Noblet and Mrs S Jones. We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our pupils and we believe this will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.

As a school we are committed to provide the best possible care and support for all our pupils and this is one way in which we can do this. You can find more about Operation Encompass on the following link:
