Welcome to EFYS
Hello, and Welcome to school and Reception Class. We hope you have had a relaxing summer holiday and are looking forward to all the exciting things we will be doing in Reception Class this year. We have an amazing new unit inside and outside which we cannot wait to share with you.
Class 1 teacher is Mrs Procter
Class 2 teacher is Miss Till and Mrs Farrell (Thursday)
EYFS Teaching Assistants are Miss Moss, Mrs Thackeray, Mrs Mumby and Mrs Watson. Mrs Barraclough will also support the children in an afternoon for NELI (an intervention programme for speech and language).
Important to note….
- Reading books and diaries need to be in every day. Your child will change their reading books on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please keep your child’s reading book safe in their plastic reading bad as any lost or damaged books will have to be paid for.
- We are encouraging daily reading – please comment on pages read and sign to show your child has read their book with you.
- Please ensure your child does not wear earrings on PE days. Class 1 PE day is Tuesday Class 2 PE day is Thursday.
- Ensure your child’s uniform is clearly labelled.
- Children need to bring in their school clear water bottle filled with water only every day.
- Parent app is our main communication with parents
- Seesaw is our home learning platform.
- Achievements will take place in the hall assembly every Friday and if your child wins a certificate they can wear their own clothes on Monday.
