Safety in the Sun
Sun Cream
In the Summer Term, we kindly ask that all parents and carers at Queen's Drive to help their children to apply sun-cream before coming to school on hot days. This is an important part of safety each morning; it will show the children how to safely apply cream and will ensure that children are safe to participate in outdoor activities in the morning.
Children are invited to bring a named bottle of sun-cream to keep in their PE bag or School bag. Children will have the opportunity to apply cream at lunchtime before they go to lunch or go out to play.
Please do not send your child to school with a brand of sun-cream that they have not used before.
Children will be asked not to share sun-cream with their friends/peers.
Please show your child how to apply sun-cream safety (particularly around the face). We request that parents only supply roll on or squeezy bottles of sun-cream as opposed to spray bottles.
We supply Sun Cream for children in EYFS and support the children to apply cream in our key worker groups.
Water Bottles and Sun Hats
It is also vitally important that our children bring a water bottle to school and an appropriate summer hat or cap to wear when learning or playing outside during warmer weather.
Thank you for your support with this matter
